NEW DELHI: A day after three persons were arrested from Govindpuri in south Delhi for what the police described as illegal transmission of obscene MMS clips, Times City found that such clips are easily available in the citys markets like Palika Bazaar and Gaffar Market in Karol Bagh.
According to the police, the main accused Puneet Berry (26) downloaded MMS and other obscene pictures from the Internet and sent them to his customers in lieu of money.

Berry had been running a mobile phone shop in Govindpuri for the past four years.
The other two accused, Ishtikhar Ahmed and Ram Pal Singh, were his employees. Despite the occasional 'cosmetic crackdown on the sale of porn CDs, sleazy videos are still making business through CDs, DVDs and, of late, MMS clippings.
The shops in Palika Bazaar offer all kinds of clips showing unsuspecting couples in the love-making act by hidden cameras. And whats more, these clips can be uploaded on a mobile phone as an MMS file for a mere Rs 200. Interestingly, cost of these MMSes in Palika Bazaar and Gaffar market is open to negotiation and getting them is as easy as purchasing grocery.
All that is required is a handset that supports bluetooth software and MMS files. A 'memory chip with pre-loaded porn clippings is available for Rs 800 at Gaffar Market.
"I have the latest 'airport clip and the 'high school shot along with the 'honeymoon special, claimed a shopkeeper. "I will download the original clips on your mobile which will be virus-free, he claimed.
Apart from the new entrants, the MMS clip of students of a prominent Delhi school is also in great demand. Even the video clips of the look-alikes of Anara Gupta, Sania Mirza, Preity Zinta and Manisha Koirala are still in demand.

"Bigger the scandal and greater the star value of the person in the act, larger is the price tag and demand, grinned another shop owner. "Clippings featuring Indians are more sought after than those involving foreigners, explained another CD shop owner at Palika.
JCP Ranjit Narayan said: "It is a low investment business and, therefore, can function from anywhere. Porn is available on Internet and can be downloaded easily. Moreover, it is a bailable offence.
